If you go to Jeff's profile in twitter, then go to the little dropdown button next to where it says “following” there's an option to turn on mobile notifications. Not quite sure how it works in the iPad app, but probably similar.

Jeff,

When you estimated that the score release would be on today (9/7), did you factor in the holiday last Monday?

Scores typically begin being released 1 day before AICPA target date. The AICPA target date for the next release is 9/11.

Also, on your estimated release table, you estimate the release to be 5 business days after close of window. However, last Monday was a national holiday (not a business day, NASBA was closed). Thus, 5 business days after close of window would be next Monday (9/10).

I know that the AICPA did NOT factor in the holiday when they originally posted the Q3/Q4 release dates, but have since changed the target release date from 9/10 to 9/11. see comments here: https://blog.aicpa.org/2012/06/new-cpa-exam-score-release-timetable-for-q3q4-2012.html

I hope I am wrong, but what do you think? Am I going to have to wait all weekend? Do you have any inside info?

For anybody wondering, there were Jeff's responses:

“I didn't take Labor Day into account … apparently NASBA didn't either initially because their original date was the 10th and then they adjusted it … correct? I could be wrong this time … completely out of my hands (obviously).”

“fyi – NASBA has been sending e-mails lately … that's not unique to this score release. If they say the 11th, then it will probably be the 10th instead of the 7th…and the NINJAs will be wrong for the first time in a year.”

If scores come out on Monday, I don't think that he would be wrong on his prediction. His prediction is the day before the target date and since NASBA changed the date to the 11th, the 10th is the day before. I'm ok with scores coming out today though 🙂

Maybe the date change is because in the last release the BEC score were not release on target and people started calling Nasba like crazy. Maybe they just want to make sure they comply with the date.
