    Do weekend days count as days in the testing window? For example, if I an taking an exam on 7-23 is that day 23, 16 or 19?

    yep – those count … they designate “business” days where applicable.

    Hi Jeff,

    If I take the exam on 7/23, is there a chance I will get my score on 8/3 release?. If it is 20 business days!

    Jeff,

    Labor Day is Sept 3rd. Does that change the Sept 7th release date? Since it is a holiday and not a business day, would it be moved to Sat Sept 8th or Monday Sept 10th. Or does the holiday even matter.

    @Capital Expenditure – I'm sorry but you have about a 0% chance of getting your score then. Even some people who take it on the 20th don't get their score during 1st release. If you really want it on first release, you should move up your test (if possible) to the 19th.

    Any cntribution will be well appreciated:

    If I take my exam between August 10th and August 14th, Will I get my result the “August 22nd result release date? I actually intended taking it in July ending (which will meet the August 22nd release date) but I can't wait for three weeks or thereabout. I like taking my exams very close to the scheduled results release dates.

    Lisa, I think we've all wondered why it takes so long to release computer-graded test scores. All the “weights” for each question seem to have been determined previously as each “operational” question was tested and evaluated previously as a “pre-test” question. Even the written communication in BEC is mostly computer graded.

    This is the only official AICPA reasoning I could find as to why scores are not released sooner. It's not even close to helpful at explaining why it takes a month or so, but apparently scores are released a lot faster now than they used to be.

    From: https://www.another71.com/cpa-exam-curved-myths-debunked-my-interview-with-the-aicpa/

    “Scores — even preliminary ones — cannot be released without state board review and the application of standard quality control procedures. For these reasons, issuing scores at test centers is impractical and the possibility is not being considered…. Faster and more frequent score release will be introduced after the implementation of CBT-e — a program of major CPA exam improvements. However, “real-time” score reporting is not a realistic option and is not being considered.”

    austingolduk, I have FAR scheduled for the 14 as well. I am hoping to get a score release on the 22, but it is possible not to according to the AICPA. Their website says the window is the day that they receive the test not the day you sit for it. So it really depends on when the testing center releases it to AICPA. I couldn't get a sitting date or I would have taken it the 13 to be sure they got it, but I'm hoping since I am taking it in the morning on the 14 I will be ok. I'm in panic mode because I only have 2 shots to pass it before I lose credits.

    @Tootsie

    You and me both! I retook REG about two weeks ago, and I'm dying to know how I did. I'm fairly certain that I'm in the 70-80 score range and waiting is driving me crazy!
