nimmle02MemberNO problem! It gives me something to do. I think I need to start making them more interesting
REG - 5/21/2012 - 85
FAR - 7/24/2012 - 86
BEC - 8/27/2012 - 85
AUD - 10/5/2012 - 72....rematch 1/3/13 (waiting)January 15, 2013 at 8:42 pm #394222
MCLKTParticipantI will give myself the rest of the day to fret over the AUD exam I sat for this morning.
Then it's on to FAR studies tomorrow.
I really need to get a pass to keep me going. I may not even check my Score on the 5th, for fear of another fail getting me down.

AnonymousInactiveSo since I waiting for my last exam score do I keep studying in the meantime, just in case? Or wait to find out and then start again? I just am afraid of forgetting stuff.

AnonymousInactiveAdvice needed (not that I might not change my mind later anyways from severe anticipation)
Should I look at my scores while I'm at the office working late busy season hours? Or wait till I get home?
For fear of getting bad news and possibly affecting my psyche and ability to be productive at work.
I checked before at work in November when I failed aud and it ruined my day… But I'm kit sure is be able to also not check if I know it's there…
What should I do? What would you do?

nimmle02MemberI will be checking during the work day. If anything I'm hoping I pass and get a team celebratory lunch/dinner on the firm's dime. Or if I fail maybe a team sympathy lunch/dinner on the firm's dime.
But at least we are Benjamin Buttoning the crap out of these days til score release.
19 days y'all!!

soxfan866MemberI, just as everyone else, am anxiously waiting to receive my score for FAR. I have a couple questions not really about score release, but I'm sure someone here will know. I'm in a NASBA state and when I log into my account it still says “App in Progress” for FAR. When I search for my score (obviously knowing it won't be there until at least the 4th) it just says FAR with no attendance date. Also, at the top of the page next to the jurisdiction and my name now says “Re-examination” instead of first time candidate. Is this normal? Should it show that my test was attended? I'm probably just being paranoid, but I'm curious.
DavidB1990 – I'm definitely in a similar situation. I'm taking AUD the same day as we're supposed to get scores. I'm planning on holding off on looking until I get out of AUD. I feel like I'll be too happy if I pass or too let down if I fail to focus on the exam. If I were you I'd try to wait if you're worried about it. Especially if you're busy, it might be a little easier to forget about for a few hours.

AnonymousInactive@ nimmle02, your countdown gave me an idea. I downloaded a countdown app for my phone and put in three dates- this current score release (FAR), my last exam (AUD), and the day I should hopefully get my final score and be done! While I hate seeing the large number in the “days” column, at least it makes me feel better seeing that time slowly but surely count down.
@DavidB1990, everyone is different, but I personally plan on looking up my FAR score as soon as I possibly can, even though it will be released less than a week before my Audit exam. I feel a passing score will really give me that last push I need to complete my audit review. A failing score would hurt, but I don't think it would be as bad as the anticipation of waiting. I know my productivity would fall straight off the cliff waiting for the end of the workday to go home and check my score. So I'm planning on taking the gamble and checking if I'm at work, but that's just me.
@ChelleChelle, since BEC is a smaller amount of material, and my understanding is you'll have to wait until the next test window anyway if you don't pass, so I think you'd gain more by taking a little time off. Based on the fact that you passed the other three, (and I'm betting you are even more prepared this time around), I'll bet it won't be necessary. Maybe you could do some light flashcarding and a review of your notes, but take some time to relax!
@ soxfan866, I can only give you my guess, since I'm in IL (non-NASBA). When did you take your test? I know IL takes a few days to receive and post a notice that I attended. Depending on when you took your exam it might just need a few days. I don't know why the “Re-examination” status is popping up, but I doubt it means anything of significance. I can't see how they would have your score already- we still have 4 more days of testing before all of the tests released in this first part of the window are even completed.

AnonymousInactive@soxfan866 Not to scare you, but I'd check-in with someone at NASBA just in case. Since that was your first test, maybe that's why it still says “App in Progress”, but I find it strange that it would still say that after you've already been able to sit for an exam. However my REG application from July still says Submitted (instead of completed) and I got my passing score for that in August. Never hurts to check. You can send an email to cpaexam@nasba.org, just be sure to put your state and name in the subject line.
I only suggest checking with them because I've never seen my account say “App in Progress” (I also first applied before the CPAES system existed). I wouldn't be worried that it says “Re-examination”, mine says that too, and once you've taken your first test you not actually a first-time candidate anymore.

soxfan866MemberThanks for the advice guys. I'm not too worried about it, more curious if mine was the same as other people (apparently not). I took my test on 1/10. If nothing changes by Monday or Tuesday I'll get in touch with NASBA.

mrwills12ParticipantThe same thing happened for me when i sat for my first test. My state i am guessing does not update anything until my score gets released. When i check my scores before the score is release i have no attendance date either, so dont worry. Also when i log on to NASBA's application i am also stated as re-examination and to tell you the truth i have no idea why that is but it has bee like that since i first started taking the tests. My state is MN so idk if that helps you or not. But i am/ have experienced similar things.
I would hang on to the confirmation of attendance you received when you left prometric just incase something does happen however. But i dont think anything will
More general question now that i looked at my NASBA closer, in the section that has my applications for each of my tests, why does my FAR test say “Applied” in the status box when the rest of them say “submitted” as the status of my application for each of my tests?

soxfan866MemberI just checked my status on CPAES Oasis and this was the message updated today “All or some sections of your Notice to Schedule (NTS) have been attended but scores have not been received.” Still the same stuff everywhere else though. Oh well, as long as I get my score I could care less. Apparently the NASBA website is just not updated/weird.

supervisorParticipantTrying not to think about it but its so hard not to!
@davidb – I am NOT checking my score at work. I realized all of my passing scores were checked at home and at home I shall check. My last score was checked at work and I FAILED!! I cant afford to fail this time so I will wait until I get home.
BEC 10/13 PASSED 77
AUD 04/12 PASSED 83
FAR 08/12 PASSED 76

nimmle02MemberTime is definitely going by much quicker while I am working like mad with busy season awesomeness. My inability to get up ever and the constant presence of food has deemed the following link to be appropriate. Just sub “Busy Season” for “Holiday Season,” but both are equally true.
