That's very true about Labor Day. However the score release around Thanksgiving was supposed to be released the Monday after Thanksgiving and we released the Wednesday before. Who knows?!?

Why are all these peeps bringing negative energy to this score release? Wouldn't you wanna know your score sooner rather than later?!

Did anyone else notice the note to the NASBA's email which says “Day in test window' refers to the date the AICPA receives the test result, not the test date.”? I don't even want to speculate as to what that might mean.

    AUD 01/17/2013 (92)
    REG 02/28/2013 (85)
    FAR 04/26/2013 (85)

Ugh, all I can think about is score release now and can't focus on reading!

Theo, I think we can all speculate but will turn our backs to it… I read that too and shoved it to the back of my brain, haha.

    AUD: 84
    REG: 84
    BEC: 79
    FAR: 83

@Theo – I take that just as a “cover their ass” line in case someone who tests on Day 20 doesn't get their score in Wave 1. Then they can say “well, you took the test on Day 20, but the AICPA received your test results on Day 21, so you're Wave 2, not Wave 1 for score release.”

@samdiegoCPA You're not the only one. I'm supposed to be doing my review for REG but it's difficult to concentrate because I am just so nervous about my AUD score release. This was my first CPA exam sitting so I don't know what to expect. I should just go to sleep and wake up on Monday morning..hahaha

@k917 that would be terrible if someone had to wait until wave 2, waithing for the first wave is torture enough.

@Theo I'm waiting for REG and studying AUD 😛 Would love to sleep til Monday but then I'd fail AUD and this has been worse than REG by far. It seems to be the easiest for people, but it's so much wording that it gets confusing.

    AUD: 84
    REG: 84
    BEC: 79
    FAR: 83

Ugh…I feel the same way Sam. I hated REG, but at least I felt like I was learning something new and unique with each module that I could compartmentalize in my brain.

AUD is like “HERDY TERDY DERP DISCLAIM AND CONSIDER WITHDRAWING DERP LIMITED ASSURANCE DURRRR”

@Eskimo – I just saw your post said 5 days after the 21st holiday. Wave 1 is 11 days after Day 20.

Surely I'm not the only one that has a spreadsheet counting the days in each window and marking the business days and projected score release days. I not only have my study schedule planned but each testing day set and calendar marked for the anticipated score, and the expiration date of that passing score… we are accountants after all. Below are some spectacular cut and paste skillzzzzz.

    🙂

Here's the deal with the Thanksgiving release that people seem to forget. They did it the same way they USUALLY do.

Wednesday 11/14 was day 45 of the window.

    6 business days out:

    1. 11/15 Thurs.

    2. 11/16 Fri.

    Sat

    Sun

    3. 11/19 Mon

    4. 11/20 Tues

    5. 11/21 Wed.

    Thanskgiving

    6. 11/23 Friday – BUT they USUALLY actually release the business day before. So if the rule is 6 business days count 5.

That takes us back to Wednesday 11/21 as the day to expect. Right?

Same logic now, last day of the window is the Sunday the 20th. NASBA says 11 business days later… so we count 10.

    1/21/2013 HOLIDAY

    1. 1/22/2013 Tuesday

    2. 1/23/2013 Wednesday

    3. 1/24/2013 Thursday

    4. 1/25/2013 Friday

    Saturday

    Sunday

    5. 1/28/2013 Monday

    6. 1/29/2013 Tuesday

    7. 1/30/2013 Wednesday

    8. 1/31/2013 Thursday

    9. 2/1/2013 Friday

    Saturday

    Sunday

    10. 2/4/2013 Monday SCORE RELEASE

    11. 2/5/2013 Tuesday (unless you are nonNASBA state) Like CA which is ALWAYS the next day, weekend, holiday, doesn't matter always right around 6 a.m. PST

This should hold true unless NASBA dares not to consider MLK Jr. Day a holiday.

    Not likely:

    NASBA ‏@NASBA

Our offices are closed today in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. We will reopen tomorrow at 8 a.m. CST.

    We can still hope though.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but for once, I wouldn't mind a weekend going by quickly.

    R - 87 (1/2013)
    A - 92 (2/2013)
