@DeVon – you should be ok as long as you passed. It's based on test date, not score release date.

@DeVon82 Looks like it depends on your state. You appear to be a grey area. I'd call and find out.

Here is how it is for Florida (from the FAQs):

“27. How do I calculate the rolling 18 month window?

The clock starts the date you are notified that you have passed the first section. If the remaining sections are not passed within the next 18 months, you lose the credit for the first section and the next section passed becomes the target date.”

That doesn't really seem to answer the question though. Is there a difference between “when you passed” and “when you're notified that you passed”?

Bottom line – I shouldn't have to worry about my BEC score expiring because it shows as expiring on 1/31/13 and I took my last test and passed it on 1/4/13, right? It shouldn't matter when I was notified that I passed, just when I took it, right?

For what it's worth, this is how California defines it:

    Last Date of Credit Period:

The last date to sit for all remaining unpassed sections of the CPA Exam in order to be able to retain credit for this section. This date reflects the date the exam can be taken, not the date the score is released.

    REG - 10/17/2011 - 89
    BEC - 01/30/2012 - 86
    AUD - 05/14/2012 - 90
    FAR - 01/11/2013 - 96

This is my first post….just passing along information that I think may be helpful to those waiting for scores in Maryland. I called the Maryland Department of Licensing and spoke with Barbara.–she said “we have not received the scores from NASBA and it could take up to a week” she said she didnt have an explanation for the delay and that the Maryland DLLR would “most likely have the scores within the next couple of days.”

Hi all, called the California State Board. They release the scores they receive every day before 8 am. If you didn't get a score today, no need to hit F5, just check back tomorrow am. It can take up to a few days to release all scores, depending on how fast NASBA sends out scores to the CBA. It's an automatic process so nothing we can do but wait. Hopefully, we will have our scores tomorrow because that wait is overwhelming!

    AUD - 2/28/13 - 95
    REG - 10/2/12 - 85
    FAR - 1/15/13 - 95
BEC - 4/25/13 - score pending. Really hope I'm done!!!
    Ethics - 5/6/12 - 92

Becker in class, Becker flashcards & final review, Wiley test bank.
