I’m sure this has been covered in length before, but as a newer poster, I really wouuld like to hear some advice from those of you on here who have tasted the bitterness of defeat by this beast. I was fortunate enough to pass FAR and BEC my first time through, but miss AUD and REG by a combined 7 points. Mostly, I’d be curious to hear:

    1) How much time did you put into your restudy efforts? I feel pretty good about my REG score that I feel a few weeks of heavy review and enough MCQ’s to make me vomit should work.

    2) How did you move on and get studying again? The initial sting is gone, but being so close has left me feeling somewhat discouraged.

    Thanks!

I'm trying to cope as well. I took my first section in August, and got a FAR score of 68 yesterday. I'm completely bummed. Especially since one of my friends passed 2 sections in the same window. It's just a real ‘defeated' feeling. I know I need to put it behind me, but I just can't. I'm studying for AUD now, and have the exam scheduled for October 19. But what should I do about retaking FAR?? How long should I wait? Do I keep going on to the other sections, or squeeze it in after I take AUD?

    FAR - 68, 79
    AUD - 82
    REG - 71, 71, 80
    BEC - 76

PistolPete – Take FAR after auditing while it's fresh in your mind

    Aud 4/2/11 - 86
    Far 5/27/11 - 83
    Bec 7/1/11 - 82
    Reg 8/13/11 - 86! It's over!!!!

have your pity party, get mad, get sad, and after you decided passing this exam is worth going through the torture…sit down at your desk, take a deep breath, and start from page 1

some will say to look at your progress report and just go over your weak areas. i've taken the exams enough times to know that it is a different exam every time you sit for it. things that were tested the 1st time may not be tested the 2nd time, a topic heavily tested may not be heavily tested

study for it like you have never taken it before

    good luck!

    REG-65,71,74,73,70,74,79
    BEC-60's,60's,69,71,76*,78
    FAR-67,66,65,79
    AUD-54,60's,65,83*,69,80
    *expired

    DONE
