Congrats to everyone who passed! Thank you to everyone else who said encouraging words to me!!! I really appreciate you all on this forum no one else in m world understand me and a majority of the people I know say they don’t understand why I am doing this! To everyone who didn’t pass I realized today I wasn’t being honest with myself…just wanted to share that because maybe it isn’t your study materials maybe its you!

AHHH I passed FAR* is what I meant.

That's probably why i failed BEC, my inability to proofread.

Yes, I've noticed that the CPA Exam isn't like college per say. I hate to “admit” this on an open forum, but you guys will probably agree with me that there are a number of ways we can “skim through” in college. Not saying that we didn't actually have to know the content, but we have professors, other classmates, as well as individual semesters to learn the individual blocks of content.

The CPA Exam, as I explain to others, is like dumping thousands of pages of MATERIAL (some amounts you already are familiar with and some amounts you aren't) and then it requires that you know all of the material and can successfully pass testing within a short amount of time on the material.

Us 21st century CPA Candidates I guess you can say are lucky that we don't have to sit for all parts at once like they used to, which allows for additional study and preparation time in passing all four parts in a rolling 18 month period. But the old CPA Candidates didn't have to deal with the newly created (and must I say complicated) laws, technology, etc. that we have to deal with.

    * State of MA CPA Exam Candidate
    - BEC: Sunday, August 24th
    - FAR: Saturday, November 29th
    - AUD: TBA for February 2015
    - REG: TBA for May 2015

@Hudiniwannabecpa I appreciate you saying that its not easy to suck it up but everyone on this site helps one another so I wanted to be a part of that and pass on what I learned. We Ninjas are in this together thank goodness for Jeff and this wonderful site. I've learned more from Ninjas than Becker smh

@John that is so true and most topics in college aren't so rigid you can even argue your grade! I also had a tough time while studying it was my own version of busy season with finishing up my MBA program straight out of undergrad and working stupid part-time jobs to pay my way through school but its just another reminder of why I am working to hard to achieve this CPA

Motivator: There are millions of people unemployed in the US and its getting worse. If you are unfortunate enough to become unemployed would you rather rely on government aid or CPA “aid” because your application is getting pulled faster than others …Food For Thought
