Has anyone had any experience with this firm? Any insight would be appreciated. Suggestions? What it’s like working there, etc?

I have never heard of this company, but I just looked it up. Jobs in my area have actual job titles of “business valuation WIZARD needed”, “superb senior tax analyst”, “Ambitious audit manager”, “amazing auditor”, “super star senior auditor”.. etc.. I could go on. I think it's odd to have “wizard”, “superb”, “amazing”, “ambitious” or “super star” in your job title. I found that odd and unprofessional..hm. I'd be cautious.

Oh, and when you click on the jobs it says “would you like to excel your career?” “have you ever wanted to work in public accounting, then CG is for you!”. Sounds like an MLM structure or a major sales pitch. So odd..

I worked there for 5 years. I would not be where I am today without working there. Like many other people that have worked in public accounting, I now work for one of my clients. You could never learn in college what you learn from the experience you gain in public accounting. At the time I started there, 10 years ago, they gave new college graduates the opportunity to work in both tax and auditing when they started. That is why I chose Clifton Gunderson because it is hard to decide if you want to do tax or audit the rest of your life based on some college classes that are nothing like the real world. I loved working in auditing because it gave me the opportunity to see many companies rather than working for just one company. At the time new associates also worked in several industries, which allowed me to decide the areas I liked best and eventually choose the company I am at now.
