Does anyone know if the 2010 Becker review can still be use for the 2011 exam.

I would definitely recommend Becker 2011, anyone can feel free to correct me but I believe 2011 is the first year that the AICPA began testing IFRS which is not covered in the 2010 edition of Becker.

How about the other section, are they still the same or close enough to pass the exam?

AUD was more than enough for me to pass, but I took it in the first period. I think they usually add more new stuff as the year goes on

I just applied and got approved to take the cpa exam. With Becker do they change their materials every year?

Any suggestions, on where i can get the becker for a cheap price?

I don't know about Becker specifically, but the review courses generally reissue their materials every year. The extent of the changes depends on how much the CSO for that exam has changed. I didn't do a comparison, but I believe that the change in format and some significant additions to the material being tested (new standards, IFRS, moving material from one exam to another, etc.) meant that the differences between 2011 and 2010 were pretty substantial. I don't know what will happen with 2012, but I'd highly recommend getting the latest edition for REG as possible. The 2011 books were all written before the tax law legislation that passed at the end of 2010. They did updates, but some weren't issued for a few months and made for more confusion when studying.

3XHHH, I suggest you stop trying to find a cheap way out and just pay the money. Trying to go cheap may cost you more in the end. Buy up to date material. If you are looking for a cheaper course I'd go with Yaeger. I would have passed all four the first time if I hadn't made a study error on REG the first time. They are really good. I heard Rogers is pretty good as well but definitely get up to date material

3XHHH, no problem. I was out of school for 6 years and I wasn't even an accounting major while I was in school and still Yaeger prepared me enough to pass the exam. I have seen clips of Rogers, I like his style too. I heard about CPAexcel, I tried their version for the CMA. Didn't like it at all but some people rave about it.

A lot of people put their scores and/or exam dates in their signature but you don't have to. I did self study with the Wiley text and test bank. I borrowed a copy of the Becker text for clarification on certain topics but didn't use any of their lectures or problems. I also used the Ninja notes during my review for REG and BEC.
