This is my first scores release! I was told the scores are released at 6am on the cba.ca.gov website under status! But it is 630 and I cant find any scores? Am I looking in the wrong place? Or is CA running late with releasing scores?

    Thanks!

Yes, being in the bubble means that you are on the borderline of passing.

Yes, the exams are computer-graded. But for BEC, when you are in the bubble, then the WCs are graded by a human. At least, that is what I understood of the process.

    FAR - < than 75, 10/2013, 2/2015
    BEC - < than 75, 10/2013
    AUD - < than 75, 8/2015, 1/2016

TO GSD512 – it happens only for BEC since there is a written communication element to the exam. written communication is also computer graded, but sometimes they pick few of them for human evaluation. there is a perception that if you are within 72-76 score after computer scoring, you may get picked up for human evaluation. in any case, this is what they state on the NASBA website – “Some candidates who take the BEC section might receive their scores approximately one week following the target release date due to additional analysis that might be required for the written communication tasks.”

@CPA778, I cannot agree more! It's honestly absurd that we pay so much money & they cannot be more on top of releasing the scores.

    @GSD512
, I believe if you are on the “bubble” a human regrades your essays instead of the computer. That is at least what I have heard from others. I am not 100% sure if that i true

@cpaallday71: Thanks! I'll be taking BEC in a couple of weeks so hopefully I won't be in the so called bubble. For now I just want to get my damn FAR score. I've been up since 4am checking the website every 5 mins. Needless to say I'm not being productive at work today.

@GSD512: I have been up since 3:30 because I couldn't sleep (waiting on BEC)! How was FAR? Any study recommendations? I am using Becker.

@cpaallday71 I woke up several times last night to check my scores believing their was a possibility scores would be released early. Now, I am at work checking CBA's website every five minutes. This is terrible lol.

I don't know if you guys have been through GMAT before. When you finished the exam, you got instant unofficial score. I mean, if GMAC is able to this, why state board or NASBA cannot?

    AUD 7/3
    BCE 81
    REG 7/15
    FAR 8/18

I registered just so I could commiserate. My whole family is on pins-and-needles awaiting a family member's result on his final part! Why us?!

    Signed,

P.S. The announcement on the CBA's website is the lamest excuse ever, and doesn't even make sense.

I hunted down NASBA on Twitter, what a sad situation to resort to. But people are tweeting NASBA complaining about the CA issue and they are saying to email candidatecare@nasba.org if you have not received your score. Not sure what they're going to do when you email but maybe it's worth a shot.

    BEC - 74, 77
    FAR - 72, 71 (retake 7/29)
    REG - 69
    AUD - Q4 '16

This is my first score release and I cannot believe this is happening! Took FAR on 7/29/16 and this has been the longest wait ever. I am not sure why we cannot just log into NASBA and get our scores straight from them. Pins and needles!!!!

My sister called the CBA. They acknowledged a technical problem. They said they had an IT guy working on it. No estimated time of completion. 🙁

cpaallday71: The best advice I can give you is to try to understand governmental and non-profit. They really are heavily tested. I'm using Roger CPA to study and I feel like the MS questions on the software focus a lot on the math. The actual exam on the other hand, is very conceptual. Unfortunately I hardly had to do any calculation. I've only taken FAR but I've taken it twice. First time I ran out of time big time so I knew I didn't stand a chance. In both instances, govt & non-prof were heavily tested.
There is just so much information with FAR that it is impossible to master it. I honestly felt like whenever I learned something new, I would forget something else.

cpaallday71: is there any advice you can give me on BEC? I was supposed to take it Monday but just pushed it back to Sept 8th. I don't feel ready at all. I just finished watching all the lectures so I will do nothing but multiple choice questions from now on. It is just so boring since there is no math (other than cost accounting). LOL! I don't know how I will ever pass audit.
