Despite the support offered by the score release guidelines, which states: “Some candidates who take the BEC section might receive their scores approximately one week following the target release date due to additional analysis that might be required for the written communication tasks,” the modifiers “some” and “might” make me wonder how often BEC score releases are delayed. I start with a B4 in January (before the next window starts), and I am desperate to know my score, as it is my last un-passed section. Is it likely that BEC are delayed up to a week?

If your computer score is between 73-74 (or was it 74-76?), they'll delay the score release so they can review it with human eyes to determine if scores needs to be revised (since WCs are subject to being subjective).

I think the BEC bubble is 72-78.

Mine was delayed. In the end it turned out ok because I passed and I guess if waiting was the difference between passing and not passing, then I'd choose to wait. But I won't lie, it's torture.

Does that mean that anyone under 70 and over 80 will get their scores Dec 9?

@rosecpa- not necessariy. Most of the time if a BEC score is delayed it's because the score is a bubble score. Sometimes it's just because BEC takes longer to grade than the other sections. You could have a delayed score and end up with a 90 or a 56. That's just not common.
