I just recently took BEC and am expecting to receive my score on the 12/19 score release date. I heard in the past that if your score for BEC is hovering in the mid 70’s your score can take longer to be released. Is this true? I understand that humans grade the written communication if your score is close to passing, but I can’t imagine having to wait an extra week or two!

The first time I took BEC I got a 76 – AKA hovering right around 75 – and I received my score along with everyone else. So I think they say it may take a couple extra days to cover themselves in case they need it, but I'd expect (purely based on my own experience) that the majority are released during the standard score release.
