    Am I reading this wrong? I thought the delayed time was only for Q2. If I take the exam July 1st, does that mean that I have to wait until September 22nd for my score or is it saying that my score can be released anytime before September 22. I think I'm confused.

    @bobby

    “Q: What is the testing window?

    A. Candidates may sit for the CPA Examination during each quarter, or testing window. They are: January 1 – March 10 (Q1), April 1 – May 31 (Q2), July 1 – September 10 (Q3), and October 1 – December 10 (Q4). Scores are released four times for the first testing window while scores will be released once after the close of the Q2, Q3 and Q4 testing windows…”

    @BrickellCPA, that was an error on my part as I scrolled down the release date and missed that section. I always thought the delay was only for Q2, did not know it was also Q2 & Q3. Talk about a long wait time… 🙁

    Really?? It's worse than I thought. In all seriousness, it's A LOT easier to get a masters degree, I Can't wait to be done with this fiasco and just put this thing behind forever. 😑😑😑

    I saw this sentence;

    Q. What is the standard setting process that you will conduct in 2017?

    After the close of the Q2 2017 testing window, the Board of Examiners will assemble panels that consist of CPAs with experience supervising the work of newly licensed CPAs. There is one panel of CPAs for each section of the Examination. These CPAs will review test questions and performance data for candidates in the Q2 2017 testing window and approve ratings to recommend a passing score for the Board of Examiners approval.

    Once the passing score for each section is approved, it will remain in place until there are significant changes to the Examination in the future. Prior to the 2017 standard setting process, passing scores were most recently set in 2004 when the Examination was computerized, and again in 2011 following a revision of the Examination.

    Does it mean the passing score will be changed from 75 to other?

    The passing score will remain as 75. They are talking about the calibration of the score.
    A 75 is not a literal 75 such as 75/100 on an exam.

    So everyone should tank in Q2 for the greater good of all candidates in future quarters! 😉

    Ridiculous. This is an example of a typical inefficient government. If the exam were privately ran (not that I would want it to be) we would have our scores after a few weeks to a month. Okay, I'll stop complaining.

    Goodluck and let's knock these exams out. Everyone is in the same boat, so I shouldn't complain. But, it's still pretty frustrating!

    A four month wait…solid. I could literally take all four sections before getting the score for one. Just like the olden days. Thanks for keeping us in the loop Jeff!

    Will we get an extension to our 18-month window for the delayed score releases?

    @RichTheKid23, I believe they deferred that to the state boards.

    AUD - 1st - 60 (12/12), 61 (2/13), 61 (8/13), 78! (11/15)
    REG - 55 (2/16) 69 (5/16) Retake(8/16)
    BEC - 71(5/16) Retake (9/16)
    FAR - (8/16)

    Anyone received an answer/update for that from their state boards?

    @jia2705 I got an email from the TX state board about a week ago about applying a three-month extension to your test expiration dates. I think this varies state board so check yours to see if they applied it.

    PA said they weren't extending last time I called them
