Lol, Jeff… I read the email and I was confused – maybe there has been a change in staff?? And the new guy came up with new rules? 🙂

We also have President's Day in Feb, Memorial Day in May, and Independence Day in July….

    FAR: 81 (May 2013)
    BEC: 81 (July 2013)
    REG: 83 (August 2013)
    AUD: 82 (November 2013)
    California CPA since 1/30/14

Ahh so tempted to push my REG back now. I'm fighting the California deadline, which means I have to pass all parts by 12/31/12. And assuming I passed AUD, REG will be my last one. I guess I could push it back, but then I won't find out my score until Dec. 20th which sounds dreadful. I'm also worried that with the holidays right around score release, the board will be slow to get my scores or something and for some reason, I won't qualify in time… Can't decide what to do!!

Was really planning on enjoying Thanksgiving with my family.. :/

    FAR 7/3/13 - 82
    BEC 8/21/13 - 82
    AUD 10/2/13 - 92
    REG 12/3/13 - 88

    DONE!!!! CA Candidate
    Beat the 12/31/13 clock!

I hope you read this! The law was passed allowing CA candidates to be licensed under the old ways if you pass by 12/31/13. You do not have to take the ethics exam by the end of the year. I would push back your exam to get a little extra time in. The day you pass your last exam counts as when you pass the whole exam, not when scores are released.

CA CPA - All because of the journey listed below
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    FAR - 53('10), 8/25/12 79 PASSED!
    REG - 66('11), 69('12), 12/06/12 77 PASSED!!
    BEC - 58('10), 74('12), 01/05/13 77 PASSED!!!
    AUD - 43('11), 66('12), 69('13), 74('13) 7/29/13 85 PASSED!!!!!

@littlenumberrobot thanks for the message! are you sure it's the day you pass your last exam and not the day scores get released? i thought i read on here that the board does not find out you passed until about the same time you get your scores. maybe i should call them to double check..

one of my biggest fears is that i miraculously pass all the exams by the end of the year… and for some horrible, technical reason, it doesn't count!

    FAR 7/3/13 - 82
    BEC 8/21/13 - 82
    AUD 10/2/13 - 92
    REG 12/3/13 - 88

Sorry I don't mean to hijack this thread, but this is important information for sarita….

@sarita – For CA everything is ran by the day you pass. Just like expired credit. Example: my boyfriend took Reg on 7/26 his Far expired on 8/4. On his exam account once 8/4 hit, the exam expired. But fast forward all the way to 8/26 when scores post, his expired turned into a pass because he passed his final section on 7/26. You are considered to pass the CPA exam the day you pass your final section. It states so on your status page on your exam account.

Also, don't forget CA is Non-NASBA. The state already has your scores. Some NASBA states have to wait until NASBA sends all the scores over.

Last point (sorry I keep editing this you probably already read this and moved on). I took an exam last year on 12/6, they post the scores a week out from when the extended window closed.
