that's a lot of borderline scores…..or am I being too critical here? I can't seem to remember but was there any scores on BEC in the 72-78 range released that you guys saw in people posting in the first release?? Then this would make more sense…If we are all borderline then I guess they'll take the ones left and curve up or curve down to meet there passing %….

    REG-80, 77, 77
    BEC-67, 68, 71, 67, 71, 74, 71, 74, 72, 77
FAR- 72, 65,67, 53, 75 (truth be known the 53 was with 4 hours of studying)
    AUD-58, 62, 72, 74, 74, 75
took 5 years but I'm DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Facebook AICPA to Allyson, thanks for your questions. Scores aren’t released based on CR topics, when you sat for the Exam, or your NTS number. Some BEC exams take longer to grade because of the need for human graders to re-grade CR questions. In our whitepa…per, How the CPA Exam is Scored (https://www.aicpa.org/BecomeACPA/CPAExam/PsychometricsandScoring/ScoringInformation/DownloadableDocuments/How_the_CPA_Exam_is_Scored.pdf), we’ve explained in the FAQs as follows:

“Most responses are scored by a computer grading program, which is calibrated using human scorers. In some cases, responses are scored by a network of human graders (all CPAs). If your score is close to the passing score, your written responses will be automatically re-graded by human graders. When there is more than one grader for a response, the average of the scores is used as the final grade.”

We hope this answers your questions. Thanks again for asking.

I'm in a NASBA state, but its giving me the error that they are all still in process- but then again, my OASIS hasn't been updated, so its likely that they just don't have the damn thing.

And @flfuturecpa – they are probably just yanking your chain. In the last window, there were plenty of people that were stuck in the second group that got in the 90s or the 60s. I would take that response with a grain of salt.

    BEC May
    AUD 73, 86
    REG 76
    FAR 78 **Missouri

@ keeptrying- that's what I'm wondering. Can anyone post here if you already have your score and got a borderline score? Like maybe 74-76?

I just commented on your question Allyson…I want them to say “yes those that haven't' been released are borderline” or “no they aren't borderline”….

I think the response made it clear that we are borderline. They said they are re-grading written communications for people with scores close to the passing score.

@ mnCPAwannabe – Yep, totally frustrated too! I was hoping they would actually have scores posted like they told me yesterday… I emailed them to ask about my changed OASIS status (says that I have no active applications) but I forgot to include my state so I responded back with that and am waiting to hear…

For what it's worth, I have had a score show up on a Saturday morning (Q4 2010) and had Oasis update and the loophole suddenly open up on a Saturday morning (Q1 2011), so let's hope we see some sort of change yet today… Or tonight. Pretty sure I don't have the patience to wait until Monday.

Wow… not so sure how I feel about being one of those people who “failed” by computer standards and then re-graded by human standards… What if the CPA that grades mine is in a bad mood or something???

@ CPAStooge- exactly how I feel. It also means those that weren't borderline probably got more points for those written communications than we will because I've heard the computer grading on those is quite lenient when it comes to the actual quality of the answer/knowledge of the topic. The computer focuses more on sentence structure, grammar, length, etc.
