Haze thats garbage. Granted I think its more challenging when you have more people to interrupt you (especially a “tween”, man I wish I could skip the 9-14 year old thing) but you worked VERY hard for those great scores and saying you only got them because you don't have a family is a copout. I know for a fact I could have studied harder and gotten better scores.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

    Erin,

This is actuaaly a second career start for me. Got my bachelor's at Rice in 1979 and worked at AT&T fo 14 years. Quit to be a stay at home mom. Started at u of h in 1/04 and graduated in 12/05 but have had to delay things due to my mother's health issues that were diagnosed my last semester. Can now get a job but delayed my search until I took exam to make me a more attractive job applicant.

Haze – she's just jealous. Having a family does make studying more difficult, but you had to work really hard to get such great scores. Be proud of yourself and ignore her.

    AUD 4/15/11 - 85
    REG 4/29/11 - 80

Allyson, YOU are an inspiration! It is posters like you who have given me comfort the past two years when the only other people I knew taking this test were fresh out of college and allowed to study at work and passed all 4 on the first try. Your avatar has been there crying with me through many score releases.

Thanks….I agree. Studying with a family is a challenge I just didn't like the assumption that because I don't have a family that I don't have other distractions

    BEC-84
    AUD-91

@haze–or other circumstances…who says you don't have an ill parent you take care of or sibling that they may not be aware of…you have an office troll!!!

Okay so a little off topic–so not everyone knows it's score release time around my office or in my life for that matter. So I've told two of my friends to check facebook in the mornings and if there are 1-3 youtube videos posted (previously known to them that will show i passed, not just random funny ones i find) then I've passed that many sections. Have any of you guys done this as a way of telling some people but not everyone?

    REG-80, 77, 77
    BEC-67, 68, 71, 67, 71, 74, 71, 74, 72, 77
FAR- 72, 65,67, 53, 75 (truth be known the 53 was with 4 hours of studying)
    AUD-58, 62, 72, 74, 74, 75
took 5 years but I'm DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    @ HazeEastwood

I don't have a family either. The other thing to keep in mind is the timeline people take the test in. Regardless of “harder” or “easier” some people with families take the test 1 maybe 2 in a window. I crammed three into the last window and taking one July 7th. That's all 4 exams in 3 months and 4 days. Don't let people devalue what you are going through.

Although its a different story if your trying to cram your scores into peoples faces who don't ask for it… but I assume that isn't what you are doing.

Erin – I practically lived at Bauer for those two years so we probably did see each other if you had classes then. Thanks for your words about my mother. Dementia's a horrible illness.
