@ keep trying – I had a similar conversation with the Controller and CFO at my company. The CFO said that the only benefit to a Masters is if you want to work for a company where it is a requirement (and at that point it's pretty much checking a box on an application that yes you have your Masters), otherwise CPA is more beneficial.

Kandis – I've been waiting for your score for days! You still have aud out of the way, and 2 chances for reg. One on 8/31, then never stop studying and again on 10/11. You can do it!

REG: 76 (would have lost credit 5/31)
    AUD: 71, 78
    BEC: 74, 81
    FAR: 74, 61, 66, 69, 75 DONE

I finally got my AUD with 83 on my 3rd lucky try. All done!!! I have studied AUD since 09/10, so sick and tired of it…

For any one struggle with AUD, make sure you do as many MCs as possible and really understand the explanations.

I use Becker and Gleim. I still think Becker is the best for Reg, Far and Aud.

@needing a 75 – I've realized that NASBA doesn't know shit and the AICPA is all f'd up and run by a bunch of money hungry fools.

    BEC - 10/15/10 - Pass
    AUD - 11/30/10 - Pass
    REG - 2/28/11 - Pass
    FAR - 5/31/11 - Pass

The thing is that in Texas you might as well have a master's with the 150 hour requirement to sit for the exam. Luckily I was grandfathered in because I had the 150 hours and all the accounting and business but still needed extra hours in just anything. So I got my extra hours at a community college taking random real estate courses after I had received my Bachelors. In Texas now you can't get your extra hours by attending a community college anymore. So I got really lucky that I got grandfathered in.

    REG-80, 77, 77
    BEC-67, 68, 71, 67, 71, 74, 71, 74, 72, 77
FAR- 72, 65,67, 53, 75 (truth be known the 53 was with 4 hours of studying)
    AUD-58, 62, 72, 74, 74, 75
took 5 years but I'm DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks everyone for the support. I really need it! You guys are awesome.

I'm sending in my application fee for my new NTS right now. I haven't been paying attention lately… how are scores supposed to be released next quarter? Are they all going to be at once, or if you take the test earlier will you get your score earlier? Just wondering if I should take my test at the end of July or August.

    FAR: 71, 77
    BEC: 70, 82
    AUD: 62, 78
    REG: 71, 68, 85

Trust me. The folks at NASBA are all told to say the same thing. I'm surprised they are saying Monday and not Thursday.

I am suspecting an AICPA release today. If for some reason, they don't then NASBA has their butt covered.

I'm just basing this off previous releases though and we all know the AICPA is unpredictable.

@keeptrying & asleephere – ah ha! Well forget the Masters then….and that motivates me to get my butt back to studying. =)

@keeptrying – that speech made me get teary-eyed. I hope I am a good motivator to my son like you obviously are to yours and your Dad to you.

This is my first post. I'm in Wi and still waiting for my REG score. I sent NASBA an e-mail and was told that they have to wait for the scores for all sections before they can post any of the grades. Earlier this week they posted some grades in error, I was able to get my BEC and AUD grades before they removed them Tuesday and Wed.

They are supposed to keep this torture going for 1 more window. The new “faster” score release is supposed to begin with the Oct/Nov window.

    BEC - 83
    REG - 86
    AUD - 75
    FAR - 86
