What's up everyone. I love the camaraderie that this site brings. I discovered this site last year and I can totally relate to each and everyone of you. I finally received my REG score this morning (NY 453) and I am happy to say that I finally passed all 4 parts of the CPA Exam!!!
To those still trying to finish or getting discouraged with their scores definitely hang in there. My journey to be a CPA began almost 8 years ago when the CPA exam was still paper!!! I actually was ahead of my class and passed 2 parts (AUD and LAW) of the CPA while finishing my Master's Degree in Accounting.
When I finally started working out of college, it was hard to find time to study since you wanted to get acclimated to your job and do well. Well when it was time for my parts to expire (Back then you had 3 years to finish), I decided to cram it up one last time and try to finish my CPA. I took the remaining parts (REG and FAR) in the expiring month. I received my REG results first and I passed, leaving me 1 part away from passing the CPA!!! But then I got the dreaded FAR results and got a 72. That means I lost the credit for my 2 passing parts leaving me with just REG under my belt.
At that time, I became so discouraged, but thankfully I left my old miserable job and started a new one. However, I let time pass and just gave up on my CPA aspirations.
Then last year, I unfortunately got laid off from my job. However, I saw this as a blessing in disguise. I decided to start my journey again to become a CPA and make my resume look better in the job market. So over the past year, with the help of CPAExcel, I finally passed all 4 parts of the CPA. I even had to take that beast FAR twice!!!
All I gotta say is to stay motivated everyone. You guys can do it!!!
