lillyMemberEarlier this morning, I saw some posts by folks who still haven't got their BEC scores wondering whether the fact that they haven't got their scores so far meant they were in the 74-76 score range. In my personal experience, this is not necessarily true. I got my AUD scores 10 days after the first batch of audit scores were released. I was nervous at that time and thought I was a borderline case.So after waiting for 10 days I was shocked to see a passing score of 88.

AnonymousInactivePunchedInTheGut ha detto: Since this window was the busy season for the those that work in tax I was guessing they were less likely to take an exam in April/May. Therefore, one could assume those of us that did take REG would be up against fewer of the tax professionals. I know the scoring is a big secret and supposedly not curved but it seems like the AICPA likes to keep the passing rate in the mid 40's. Anyone think this could be an advantage to taking REG this window vs. one of the other windows? Or is this theory a stretch?
I don't think it's necessarily true, they have quarterly deadlines. Somehow they manage to take the CPA exam

LianaZCMemberNew to the forum. Checked my score around 10pm.
73…DC NTS 446
🙁
I started studying for REG in March and took the test May 21st (work full time).
Walked out of the test thinking it was extremely difficult. But the past month or so I rationalized that I studied so hard and had everything from my Becker course (and the Final Review course) memorized so I really should have passed. There were quite a few questions on the test on topics which weren't covered in Becker so I think going forward I will supplement Becker with a REG NINJA.
I've started studying for AUD and have the test scheduled for July 24th. AUD NTS expires on Sept 10th.
I was looking forward to a break from studying in Aug (my birthday is Aug 18th) but I think that I will have to push through.
Originally, I was thinking about dropping the audit studying after I finish A5 (which should be the end of next week) and then studying REG and taking REG end of July. Then going back to AUD and doing all the memorization and review, and taking the test at the very end of August.I don't want to wait until the following testing window to take REG. Now that I look at the logistics (I think the DC process for re-examination involves completing another hard copy application and then receiving another confirmation for the tests you check, and once you pay that, you get an NTS ). That will probably take 2 to 3 weeks at the least and I'm worried that I won't be able to get an appointment for REG at the end of July by then. (I had to schedule my AUD test 30 mins away on an early Sunday morning when I scheduled it in early June b/c of limited availability).
I'm rethinking it now. Maybe I should just forge ahead with Audit, take it as scheduled and then get back to REG? AUD seems very overwhelming right now because its so different from REG.
What do you all think?

lynohMemberUnbelievable…REG score is posted and I have passed all 4 parts. I used mdscpareview (excellent!), Ninja notes, Wiley 2011 update on Kindle, and every RogerCPA video I could find on youtube (lol).
Thanks, Jeff, for the Ninja notes and for this forum and website. They have been so helpful!
To those still on this journey, don't give up!
