@minimorty, @keeptrying – I appreciate the words of encouragement.

So, if I get a new review course, any suggestions for FAR and BEC? I'm frustrated with Yaeger (seemingly disorganized format, rude customer service) and Exam Matrix (not sure how well it updated for the new content and doesn't seem good for BEC). Is Becker worth it for these sections? How about Roger?

I passed FAR with Becker….mainly….I have Gleim as well and would refer to Gleim when I needed to. I used Gleim for Multiple Choice as well as I listened to the Gleim Audio on the way to the exam….I had to drive from Houston to San Antonio (about 3 hours) the day before the exam. I've used Becker consistently for BEC as well as Gleim, mainly for the multiple choice and as a secondary source for explanations. I think you have to figure out your learning style…all the review courses have the same info but not necessarily the same formats. I like parts of each one I've used. Really ask yourself what type of learner you are and then from there ask what should be used. Just because it works for me or someone else doesn't mean it will work for you.

It's about an inch and a half thick… there are 27 sections each with its own numbering, so I don't know the total page number. There are some moderate difficulty MCQs and sims (paper based, of course) at the end of just about every section, and more MCQs at the end. There are approximately 16 hours of video lectures included. From a homework perspective, he suggests working all MCQs at end of each section and working the questions in the back.

I had trouble passing FAR with Becker and used Yaeger and increased my score 13%. I'm not a Yaeger commercial but I liked Cindy's teaching style a lot. It's not as sexy as Becker but if you get passed that it is very good.

I used Becker exclusively for FAR and thought it was perfect. There was nothing on the exam that I hadn't already seen.

I have used Becker / and failed for 3 times and went for Roger review material for FAR and scored 77, Roger is well organised and lectures are straight to the point. some times you have to switch to another material in order to understand the concepts more clearly and it works

CPA can be done and is doable, just need some more efforts towards achieving goal

Becker was incredible for FAR and AUD. I thought it was a bit difficult for REG because all the stuff marked as “ancillary” was definitely required. Currently working on BEC, I just bought Jeff's Ninja for it since people say it doesn't quite cover the bases well enough.

@MmarianoB–I have great advice because I've been there too many times…if it helps just one person stay motivated then that makes me happy…my advice isn't always for the person I direct it at but actually it helps me stay inspired and motivated.
