@magster I agree to a point and there is no doubt that luck plays a little role in how well you do on a particular exam…but as the old saying goes…the harder you work, the more time you put in, the luckier you get. I use Becker and there's really no secret…it's just staying disciplined and doing all the HW problems and reading the explanations to understand WHY an answer is right and WHY an answer is wrong.

Thanks to all that answered my question.

So, again for failing AUD the second time.. a 71. Fitting for this site.

I was using Becker and CPA for Free prior.

If I go back to Becker, which software should I get to additional questions? Gleim? Wiley? any other?

While I read through the posts on here during score release time I usually read people's score resume signature and when they have all pretty good scores and one failing score and that score just happens to be the one I just sat for it never fails to lower my confidence a little bit. Then I play the whole game of “well if they scored a 90 on AUD and a 73 on REG and I scored an 81 on AUD it means I can expect my REG score to be in the 60s!”. I know I know…it doesn't work like that, but thats just how looney waiting for scores makes me.

hilary – I was in your position this window. It was depressing just to think about having to take Reg again, and maybe Aud, too, and of course, SOMEHOW pass Far. 24 hours ago, I saw a 75, and sang glory, glory, hallelujah.

(And of course, I am elated to be done and could not be happier, blah blah, but I studied my arse off and thought I knew all there was to know – I have been done with the other 3 since last July and have focused all my efforts here – and a 75 is still all I have to show for it? I know no one will ever ask about my score, I am just saying, it shows what a *&%#@! Far is.)

“Embarrassed” and “discouraged” are words I've used a lot the past two years, as well as “demoralized” and “hopeless.” Please be optimistic!

I got a 74 on FAR and a 70 on AUD and I really thought I passed AUD.. I lose REG in AUG but I'm really considering not moving forward at all.. I'm so exhausted from studying and managing work at the same time. I really feel like I should have passed by now and all of these 70's are discouraging. It might not be meant for me..

@Date, what review course are you using for Aud? Sorry to hear you didn't pass, but whatever you do, do NOT give up! It's hearing you in the future say ‘I did it, I'm done foeva' that keeps everyone else motivated to keep going even after they received 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 (you get the point) failing scores. Those are my favorite stories, the ones where people have retaken a section numerous times and finally receive that 75+, those peeps are true testaments of perseverance!! Anyway, try to keep your head up and persevere!! You got all of us pulling for you.

@coca, I liked Wiley's test bank. I didn't think their books were as good as Becker's but the test bank was great. I bet you could also download it for free if you wanted.

@ date for friday night that sounds awful that your FAR froze. Did they let you retake for free or give you anything at all for it?

I really hope that REG is released today.. The suspense is killing me 🙂 ..Ready to know if I have a retake in my future… Congrats to everyone who has received good news so far, keep your head up to those that did not, and good luck to those still waiting!
