Anyone take REG and DIDNT feel intimidated by the SIMS?

If anyone has taken REG and passed, and was able to do well on the sims, please share your experience and study techniques! Did you practice the sims? Did you feel that you had a really good understanding of the details for the REG topics, and that helped you get through the sims? Did you utilize the IRC reseach to help answer the sims?
