I have and my brain is fried. Gotta pass BEC this time though. Anybody else to the BURN OUT point??? Been thinking about getting a glass of wine to help me through Becker BEC 3. Maybe I’ll remember better.

@Jomarie, I know the feeling (minus the kids) I have this thing where I HAVE to start studying early in the morning as soon as I get up or I feel that my whole day is shot and I can't concentrate..

    AUD 81 (X4) Previous scores 59, 72, 72
    REG 80 (X3) Previous scores 59, 60

I'm just reporting back that after over a week of 12 hours study a day for FAR, I'm physically sick. So I think it's not the best thing to do for extended period of time (say over 5 days). I'm feeling a sore throat developing and my head floating in the air somewhere high (I think my body's still at my desk typing at this moment). I guess it's because of the lack of nutrition lol… To squeeze more time to study, I've been making 3 sandwiches every night to bring with me during the day when I study in the library from their opening hour to the closing. I guess if I'm going to study that much a day, I need to eat 3X as much to keep the fuel burning. So today I slept till noon and am reading a non-CPA related book (what a relief!), surfing online replying emails and FB msgs while waiting for my big pot of beef stew to be ready! But sadly, I think I really need to start studying again…

12 hours is overkill. I don't know the science, but I'm pretty sure at some point it becomes more harmful than beneficial to study for so long. The brain needs rest to process the information. I never did more than 4 hours. But for those of you not working, do about 2-3 hours in the morning time and 2-3 hours at night. Don't stress out!

    Aud 4/2/11 - 86
    Far 5/27/11 - 83
    Bec 7/1/11 - 82
    Reg 8/13/11 - 86! It's over!!!!

I study for about 1 – 2 hours in the am 1/2 – 45 minutes during lunch and 2 – 3 hours at night, those are my Monday thru Friday schedule. On the weekends I study for about 2 – 3 hours in the morning and 2 – 3 hours at night. I used to study non-stop for hours and hours and I found it more harm than good. Now since I started doing that schedule it seems the information is sticking better. I can't study more than 3 or 4 hours at a time. Now that I'm on final review mode, I add about 2 to 3 hours during the day on the weekends. The weekend before my exam I review notes, do some MCQs, and most importantly catch up on sleep so I'm well rest for exam day!!

Started sitting in May 2002, on and off. But since 2008 I've been nonstop and my scores are....
    AUD - 39, 48, 56, 65, 68, 73, 76!!! (Finally passed in Oct 2011!!!) Becker, NINJA, & Wiley
    REG - 75 (Lost Credit) 72, 68, 73, 75 (Passed again in Aug 2011) Becker, NINJA, & Wiley
    FAR - 65, 68, 75 (Lost Credit) 68, 73, 73, 80 (Passed again in May 2012) Roger, NINJA, & Wiley
    BEC - 65, 68, 71, 72, 72, 71, 76 (Lost Credit)- 70, 76!!!! I AM DONE!!! - Roger, NINJA, & Wiley
After 10 long years of studying, I AM DONE!!!! Finally a Licensed CPA in the State of New York!!

12 hours is overkill. I'd go nuts.

I put in a good 3-4 hours per night during the week. On the weekends I usually put 6-8 hours per day. I don't know if I could handle 12….I think I'd zone out at the point. I rather get 6 really good hours of study time than 6 good hours plus another 6 of zoning out lol

All I can say is doing this while in grad school was a BIG mistake! Hard to study enough when I have a 6-8 page mergers and acquisitions paper due EVERY.SINGLE.WEEK.

I don't think I've even once studied more than 5 hours in a day because there are only 24 hours to work with.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

Yeah I hear you guys. I will break up my hours into sections and maybe insert some exercise or napping time =) I'm glad studying is my full-time job at the moment. I can't imagine studying for it with work AND kids… A lot of respect here to you guys.
