I failed my REG retake again with the same grade as before and once again stopping me from finishing this stupid exam. I definitely studied harder and felt better equipped this time around so I was surprised that my grade was not even close. I have heard of people who printed off the schedules and forms for reg and said it helped them. can someone please give me a list of the ones you think I should look at? Also feel free to give me any advice that might put me over the hump. Another 67 cannot happen in January, I do not want to have to go through this again.

If you're weaker in tax, I think it makes more sense to tackle law first and then tax so that tax is fresher in your mind come test day.

I wouldn't neglect the blaw side however. I know a lot of people got asked many questions from blaw. But definitely a solid understanding in tax will make a difference in your grade plus there always sims. Blaw isn't math involved just have to memorize. See ya in q1 as I failed with a 69 🙁

Here is what I did for REG in case it is helpful:

First I read all of the business law and professional responsibilities chapters in 1 week. Did 0 MCQs at that time.

Then I slowly read and worked through the tax chapters. Did every single tax MCQ in my book (580). That was likely 4-5 weeks.

Then in my last 1-2 weeks, I did all of the WTB sims (35, all tax) and these WTB MCQs:

    business law 134

    professional responsibilities 96

    tax 191

So most of the emphasis, and the recent emphasis before test day, was on tax. You want the business law stuff in your brain, too, but most of the practical application is going to be on tax.

FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)

I feel ya! Got my score today (which is weird) and failed. Already had it in my head that I passed because everything seemed to click during exam time. Probably the worst feeling ever so you all are not alone. I actually think this NINJA stuff could be useful, especially the audio sitting there listening to it at work all day may tattoo it into my brain. We all learn differently which is what makes this tough! Stay strong people we all need each other!

I'm scheduled for REG on 11/30. I have studied all Blaw section and have just finished Individual and Property taxes. I have more work to do before I feel comfortable with the tax section in 4 weeks. Since I am in a time crunch, I am not doing any MCQ's beside the ones that are reviewed in Yaeger lecture video. The key for me is to get a grasp of the concept. MCQ and SIMS is just applying those concepts in the questions. That's how I look at it.

Congrats Kimboroni, you finally passed the last section.

shakysays – You took the exam in the same order as me!

    BEC - 12/13
    FAR - 5/14
    AUD - 8/14
    REG - 2/15
Passed 6 of 6 CLEP Exam
