How important is it to review? Its taking a long to go through all of this information. I know the ancillary material in REG was fair game, but wasnt covered much in BEC and AUD. Any advice for FAR?

I think it varies from person to person. I personally had a lot of the ancillary material my BEC exam and a fair amount on AUD. I don't remember it being as big an issue for FAR, but I don't remember the exam that well at this point.

I actually didnt look over the ancillary material at all for FAR and I dont recall anything being on the test that I wasnt familiar or comfortable with. Even if there are one or two questions on the test from the ancillary material, you should be able to make an educated guess based on what you have studied.

Thanks for the responses. It just seems to be taking so much longer to get through these sections because there is so much more math.

pshustler I think you just took reg your name looks familiar from some of the threads weve been writing back and forth .looks like your getting ready to study for FAR would you be interested in creating a study group or something to study together and stay motivated?

Hey @pshustler,

I'm still waiting on my FAR score (from 4/4) so take it as you wish. When I took FAR I don't ever re-call noticing a question where I wished I had spent more time on ancillary material. The main thing I wished I had been more prepared for were journal entries and cash flows as my simulations dealt heavily with them. So for FAR, I would say not to spend a ton of time on ancillary.

On the other hand, the REG and AUD were a different story for me and covered a lot of ancillary.

PS. I'm assuming you're referring to Becker, but if not that is my book.

Yes, Im in Becker. Thanks for the feedback. I think Im leaning that way. Its tough because some of the lectures are over an hour and a half. I cant stay focused that long. I find myself just taking notes when they say to and reviewing later. If I tried to stay focused, I would forget the first 45 minutes of the lecture by the time I finally finished it. Im not freaking out yet though because I remember feeling the same way with REG and got that down eventually (The MC at least, as the SIMS sucked
