….instead of the crap they call a score report. Both my boyfriend and I were shocked at our reports this time around. He got weaker on everything(including sims) but one area of mcq on his REG exam…… 70! I got two stronger, two comparable, and two weaker for a total of comparable on mcq. I also got weaker on sims which was my big surprise…. Ending me up with 69. I used AL on all but two sims. I guess these two were heavily graded. Well it’s over and done. I will pick back up after tax season. I will probably take a week off from work in May to make sure I tie up all loose ends before I retake. Ranting over … see you all back in April.

@k917 – Yes – In CA – we always get score reports (pass or fail). There is a radial button that says “View Score Report” or something like that – click on it – and it shows you the same format TDKR posted above.

@TDKR – that is exactly what I am talking about – my REG 72 was like yours – I had weaker in two areas – comparable in two areas – stronger in two areas and comparable in SIMS and I failed. I can't believe you scored a stronger in MCQ and still got a 72 . . .what the heck??

    FAR 02/26/13 78 [05/25/12 67]
    AUD 07/07/12 85
    REG 05/28/13 80 [08/25/12 72]
    BEC 11/26/12 81

@littlenumberrobot – I've seen the same thing. LA doesn't give score reports if you pass, so I don't know where the dart landed on passing scores. I learned a long time ago to ignore the score reports. I don't feel like they provide any meaningful information and, of all four exams, AUD is supposed to test your knowledge of “meaningful information”. E-mail me if you want to talk or just vent, kricket0513 @ gmail.com.

    This just sucks!

That sucks, lilnumberrobot. I'm not sure why sometimes the score reports seem to be counter-intuitive to the score you actually receive…my guess would be that the areas where you registered as “weaker” were perhaps weighted more heavily. I'm sure there is a method to the AICPA's madness…I don't think they could get away with “throwing darts at a board” lol. But in any case, hope you can keep the material fresh through tax season and knock it out in May. Good luck.

lilrobot, YES we will BOTH be CPA's in 2013!! Like you, I am not going to rush either. Tax season is already ridiculosuly crazy. I felt the last two times when I scheduled BEC, I really just wanted to get the test over and done with; I was just too anxious!!. When I failed BEC by 2 points and lost REG, I was kicking myself in the ass for not taking the extra 3 weeks to study since my REG was due to expire on 1/31 (I took the exam 1/4). I kept telling myself if I had studied the extra 3 weeks then maybe I would have passed. Getting this REG credit back was a miracle. I remember posting about seeing a “Lost Credit” next to REG and was so bummed out and now to see it back as “Credit” just seems so surreal. I have BEC originally scheduled for 4/17 but now I'm moving it to 5/31 to study like a mad woman and get it done right.

Cheers to us passing and Good luck to us!!!

OMG @ TDKR. That's horrible! I wish we got score reports when we passed, because I'd like to see what they all say and compare. My other fails have been obvious “weakers” all around. It's very interesting how these are scored

    R - *77*(02/'13)-Becker & NINJA
    A - 71('11); *87*(04/'13)-Becker & NINJA
    F - *76*(08/'13)-Becker & NINJA - "server upgrade" survivor
    B - 60('11); *82*(10/'13) -Becker & NINA

    DONE, DONE, AND DONE.
