After taking last test, do you study while you wait for your score?

I am curious what other people do in this situation. I took my last test last week and waiting for my score. the question is do you wait to see if you pass and not study while you wait.. or do you spend the time reviewing the information on the chance you didnt pass. I feel like I didnt pass even though i studied a lot and was somewhat prepared cause I totally messed up SIM and ran out of time, but as the same time I’m still praying for a miracle. I have 2 more window left before i loose credit for my first test.

I did not. And even though I did not pass my last section, I'm glad I took a few weeks off. I felt less stressed and more refreshed when I started studying again. I was also forced to take an extra week off because I was in the Dominican Republic when I got my score. My recommendation would be to take a break, but everyone is different.

I second what @benkdevries said. Take some time off. I also did not pass what should have been my last exam. When it came time to hit the books again I was more than grateful for those few weeks of uninformed bliss!

No way!! I enjoyed that time off. I thought I bombed my last exam so I was sure I was going to have to study again, but even then I gave myself the time off in between.

i started studying 4 days after i took it for the next section. it's time wasted not studying waiting for your section.

I plan on taking the ethics exam during score release and my last test but I don't plan on cracking open that BEC book until I know for sure that I failed. These exams have a funny way of making you think you failed when you really passed.

    FAR 02/21/13 - 95
    REG 07/02/13 - 87
    AUD 08/02/13 - 94
    BEC 08/30/13 - 85

I'm resting! I cant take my state's ethics exam until I have passed all 4 sections. I bought a house this time during this wait for my last score, hoping to be free to have fun with it after next week's release!

Normally, I take a day or two off and start again with the next section. This was my “last” (please God!) section, so I am working on Ethics and plan to take that on Sunday. Then hopefully a passing score a few days after that. Start the masters on Aug 26th so I sure hope it all falls into place. *biting nails*

I haven't, I usually plan to take a week or two break, unforutunately those breaks always end up much longer (hence the situation I'm in now with my 18 months wrapping up soon). I probably will get right back to it with a break no longer than 3 days since I need to pass my last two parts by the end of November. I will probably take my chances and move on to the next part until I get my score.

    AUD - 90 Pass
REG - 70,61,81 Pass DONE DONE DOOOOONNEEE!!!!!!!!
    BEC - 79 - Pass
    FAR - 70,82 - Pass

I took a break after taking FAR because my birthday was the following week and that was my gift to myself. While studying for FAR I decided against taking anything at the end of August so I could afford to take time off.

If you feel you have ample time between sections I would recommend taking a few days to relax before jumping into the next part. No sense in waiting for your score to be released, especially if it's more than a week away, but your mind will thank you for any sort of break.

    FAR - 70, 83
    REG - 82
    BEC - 78
    AUD - 76

Absolutely not. I've been enjoying the beach with my kids and reading for pleasure for the first time in almost a year. Bec is like a distant memory. I hope it stays that way!

    FAR 92 (2/27/13)
    AUD 99 (4/18/13)
    REG 93 (7/5/13)
    BEC 92 (8/12/13)

I took that time as a break everytime. Watch out for those break though…it's hard to come back. I took a 3 1/2 month “break” in between BEC and REG. It was almosty 7 months between tests!

CPAwanabe – I would say wait for your score since it is your last test. The earliest you could retake the test would be October so you have time to review if, by chance, you had to take it again. Enjoy the break!

^Doing exactly that. I've been going non-stop with no breaks since… March. No breaks from REG, AUD, or BEC. And now my body is paying for it because I'm extremely fatigued from all this constant studying.

I wonder how many years I've knocked off my lifespan due to this exam.

    FAR: 50, 76!
REG: 74... (ouch baby, very ouch), 76!
    AUD: 65, 91!?
    BEC: 80! Aaaand doneskies!

    May 2012 to August 2013. Can't believe it's over.

Yes I start usually the next morning or in the case of this last test right after I get out of the testing center. I am really hoping to be done with all 4 parts before I start work in October so I put myself on an accelerated schedule.

It helps me to stay focused and more opportunities to take the exams if I were to fail some before the first ones expire.

    REG: 80 (4/1/13)
    BEC: 87 (5/29/13)
    FAR: 82 (7/31/13)
    AUD: 63, 69, 86 (1/3/14)
