    Hi,

I passed FAR with 82 in May but got 74 in AUD today. I feel the MCQ are hard for all 3 testlets and the Sims are okay… I am not sure what I can do now. I work full time and I already have REG scheduled end of November.. Maybe change it to Mid December..? Because I plan to retake AUD mid October..
I already have Ninja MCQ/Notes. Any suggestions?
    Feel so depressed this time..

    Thanks,

    California.

So sorry this happened, 74 is the Worst score ever! I found out that I got a 74 on Regulation today as well. I would just say pick up where you left off and drill everything over and over. Bang out your retake early in the window. I put my retake off for the end of the window the last two times, not this time! Keep on plugging away, you got this!

    AUD - 1st - 60 (12/12), 61 (2/13), 61 (8/13), 78! (11/15)
    REG - 55 (2/16) 69 (5/16) Retake(8/16)
    BEC - 71(5/16) Retake (9/16)
    FAR - (8/16)

i would definitely retake the section i failed first before taking an attempt at another for sake of efficiency.
you'd have to spend more time on reviewing AUD later if you were to take REG and then squeeze in an AUD retake afterwards.

@mtaylo24 so sorry to hear that! Lately I've Been semi-following all your talk of past REG experience. A 74 must have been a tough pill to swallow this round. I hope I never have that score. — I take REG in October and not looking forward to it. Best of luck to you on your next retake.

Skip all the Task-Based Simulation questions, and just do multiple choice questions. Read the question carefully, do not rush. Audit might be the toughest for those who English is a second language… I had to take that one twice…. I was able to overcome the 73 last time and gone up to 78… I never studied the Task-Based Simulation questions on all my parts 86-FAR, 82-BEC, 82-REG, AUD-78.

I do about 200 MC questions a day for about 3 weeks after I failed. For MC that you got correct, and is 100% certain you know the reason you got it right. You can just skip the explanation of the solution. For those 50/50 question, you have to memorize key words in the question and the solution. For those question, you don't know what the solution is, read all the answers and try to find a common thing that they share and often you are able to at least 1 to 2 answer…

    Hope this helps..

Good luck and NEVER GIVE UP !!!!

I got a 74 on REG and retook it, studied twice as much with the same test materials and only got a 78. Walked in 100% confident I would pass, was shocked it was so close.

So my piece of advice is make sure you change study materials.

    BEC: 85
    REG: 74, 78
    AUD: 86
    FAR: October?

Have you tried using flash cards yet? AUD is one exam where I thought those were especially helpful, particularly for the audit reports and transaction cycles because there's so much to memorize. Buy some note cards and make them as you go through the material, and then review them whenever you have a few minutes throughout the day – waiting in line, sitting in traffic, lunch break, etc.

AUD is rough simply because it's pretty difficult to conceptualize unless you work in the actual field. I've had many co-workers and friends who are only tax based or serve more in a bookkeeping position that really struggled with AUD.

My advice is skip the lectures and read straight from the book. At this point, you've already been exposed to all of the material. And really, lectures are just review course instructors reiterating their own notes. So make your own notes. And not just re-write or highlight the whole book. That's one thing I hated about Becker. I felt like by the time I was done with one section, my whole book was neon yellow.

Also, identify the areas you are actually weak in and not based off the score notifications. In my opinion, these are very useless and can be subjective based on a) type of test you got and b) how everyone else did. Take a few quizzes with all of the chapters and after a few times through, you'll have an idea of where you REALLY struggled. Identify those and start there for studying. Fit in the other sections that you're stronger at intermittently to make sure you aren't completely ignoring them.

74 is so close. And although it is essentially a zero, it still shows that you are right on the cusp and you are understanding the material to a certain degree, you just have a few areas you might be struggling with or not comprehending fully. Good luck and don't give up!

got my score report back for my 2nd stab at AUD… SO PAINFUL to see stronger on all MCQ and weaker in SIMS, for a score of 70 (def due to FAR-like SIMS and this one ridiculous AUD SIM)…especially when your previous (68) was weaker MCQ 2 comparable, weaker SIMS…on to take 3 *sigh*
