Got a 60 on AUD…so much for it being the easiest one. Now studying for REG, will re-take AUD in August and crush it!!! Any lessons on re-studying for a failed exam?

When do they send us the breakdown by section? This was my first test so I am not sure what to expect after. Thanks!

@CPAdestined11. You will need to watch your email for an email from Score Notification Service. It will have an attachment and at first glance it might look like spam. The quickest I have gotten them back was 3 days and the longest was a full week.

As for re-studying, do NOT focus only on those things you remember seeing and not knowing. Do NOT focus only on those areas the notification report says you did poorly in. You will not get another exam that looks even slightly like the one you took. If you feel like you had time to cover all the sections well the first time, I would go back and redo questions and problems and also work harder to memorize all those things you need to just know.

My recommendation for anybody taking a test, whether it be for the first time or a retake, budget your time wisely. If you don't sit and spin your wheels trying to solve a multiple choice question you will have more time for the things you do actually know. On the Sims, USE THE RESEARCH RESOURCES. Fill in as much as you can in a somewhat expedient manner and then go back and research things and correct what you can. At least pick something from the drop-downs that seem to make sense. Personally I loved the simulations because I could still get partial points for being “kind-of” right. A multiple choice is never “kind-of” right. Practice using the resources because it will save you a ton of time if you know where to look for help.

Just curious, has anyone had a 74 re-reviewed/graded or is that pretty much impossible?

The 74 on REG really stings. I am trying to see if there is any likely or small chance on the matter.

If it were BEC I'd say maybe you would have a chance if a real person read your written part but REG is all computerized so, no don't waste your money on a review.

FAR: 80 (Gleim, Ninja Notes, Ninja MCQs)
REG: 87 (Gleim, Ninja Notes, Ninja MCQs)
BEC: 87 (Gleim, Ninja Notes, Ninja MCQs)
    AUD: 8/27/16

@1alexrose – I think your chances of getting the point are somewhere along the lines of snowball's chance in hell. They pre-test the crap out of the questions before they actually count for points. I think the written portion of the BEC is the only place you could possibly gain that point in a review and even then, think of the snowball. There is probably an economic lesson here involving sunk costs. Don't throw good money after bad. Opportunity costs, use the money towards your next exam fee or add a different test bank to your arsenal and do it again. I only had to retake one section, BEC, because 2 days of studying isn't enough. I sat and pondered the review option only because of the written, but decided to just redo. I am glad I did. I feel better knowing that I actually know the material now. Still don't think I will ever use it, but whatever.

Thanks for the notes. I'd figured I had better ask even though there would be a very slim chance that it was a realistic option.
