75!! I pass BEC!!! 3 down and AUD left!
I have to vent, sorry for a post that's a bit long.
I started this CPA journey in 2012. I graduated w/ a finance degree so I lacked the accounting courses to actually sit for the exam. This has been a 4 long year journey and I can finally see the light at the end of this long a$$ tunnel. There were many disappointments along the way, I passed BEC but fail the rest of the sections, thus BEC expired. I also had a baby along the way and being a first time father and dealing w/ the test is no bueno. I failed FAR 4 times, REG 3x and AUD 3x before I finally passed FAR it in December of last year and now I'm one test away from completing this journey. I was so close in throwing in the towel. If I didn't pass FAR, that would of been it. I would of quit and wipe if off my memory.
I've spent thousands of dollars on this CPA journey, from taking additional accounting courses to qualify for the test, to test prep, and paying for the test, it has costed me thousands. I'm so glad & thankful that I didn't quit. I have plenty of reasons to but I stayed the course.
To everyone that passed their section and the entire exam, congrats. To those that have failed, DON'T GIVE UP! If I can do it, you can do it. I didn't go to Harvard or even a top 100 school. I went to a state college so I'm just a regular guy. I'm telling you. When you get there, you'll be so glad that you didn't quit. I have only one test left and my FAR will not expire until 6/2017. Things are finally looking up for me.
DON'T GIVE UP! You can do it. We all can do it. Oh yeah, I'm 38 so it's never to late to strive for what you want.
