Congrats Luma! You picked a big one to start out and you nailed it. I used the same study material (Wiley books, WTB, and one or another of the NINJA materials on most of the tests) – good to see someone else using it! Which test do you have planned next?

Thank you so much! and congratulations to you for passing all of them!!!! Good luck getting your license asap!

i'm planning to do AUD, i'm actually flipping through the book right now (wiley) and it looks Sanskrit.. not sure if it's really that foreign or my concentration is impaired due to a bad case of flu! haha

What do you recommend? should i get the WTB and ninja notes for this one too?

    FAR: 77 (1st attempt)
    AUD: 89 (1st attempt)
    BEC: 80 (1st attempt)

I really like the WTB and Wiley books combo, so if your budget supports it, sure go ahead and get WTB (and Notes if you like them) to go with it. They're not mandatory since the book has lots of MCQs too, but I prefer the WTB format.

You said you were an international student but not what your home country was…so, if you're an ESL student, Audit will likely seem more Sanskrit than the others…but my best suggestion to you is just to focus on understanding the concepts and wording of everything. I think that AUD is one of the hardest exams for many ESL students because it's all about tricky wording!! But if you're an international native English speaker, then AUD will be just like the others – a beast-in-waiting, but not inherently worse than the others.

Thank you so much for your help. i guess i'm going to get the WTB and read each chapter twice and make notes? haha

God help us! i just can't wait to be done.. i'm already thinking about the license implications considering that i've graduated in January this year with 133 hours… I've been researching about the required procedures since i have no one to help me (i personally don't know any CPA here in my county and i think they don't even exist hahaha) I'm doing my exams under NY jurisdiction and based on what i read, I need an MA degree to get the license

    AUD: 89 (1st attempt)
    BEC: 80 (1st attempt)
    REG: 80 (1st attempt)

The AU's are being tested from July 2013. So use that in your Wiley book not the old one. Its not a big deal I did this exam in July and the changes aren't that much. Mostly change in terminology.

Starting on July 1, 2013, the AICPA's Clarified SAS will be tested on the Audit exam. Becker will be releasing updated materials in 2013 that will cover the Clarified SAS. You will need these materials if you plan to take the Audit exam on or after July 1, 2013.
