Hello,
I am an international student and I just graduated from college with accounting degree in May 2014. Currently, I am both studying for CPA exam and searching for job but I found it too stressful for me.
During my last year of college, I had interviews and got to the 2nd round with partners and managers in EY and Deloitte. I thought I would land a job but I ended up getting rejected from both firms. I got the rejection email from EY the night before I had 2nd round interview with Deloitte (I guess I was too stressful so I was not in the best mood when I interviewed with Deloitte the next morning).
After graduation, I studied full time for CPA and I passed Audit section. I took Reg earlier this month and currently study for FAR. I believe most accounting firms are searching for entry level candidates around this time, so I am both studying for FAR and spent around 3 hours per day searching for job. However, the job searching is stressful and I really want to focus on FAR studying.
Do you guys think it is possible to study CPA and search job at the same time? or should I wait until around September when I finish all the exams and start applying for job?
Thank you so much.
