Hey guys, I need help. Maybe some of you here were in the same situation.
I competed my 150 credits in the U.S. Got MS in accounting. So now I was about to register for the CPA exam. Found out I need to submit transcripts from all the colleges I ever attended. So here is the problem. I attended a college in a foreign country and earned 68 credits there (all general ed classes, no business classes), and then transferred these credits to the city college in the U.S. where I earned my accounting degree. Turned out that the college in my country no longer exists, so I can’t get a transcript from there….
And even though those were credits were evaluated by my college in the U.S., back in 2013, and they do show up on the American transcript as “transferred credits,” the department of education in my state (NY) does not accept that. They state that the transcripts have to be submitted by the school which does not exist anymore… ((
I can’t find a way around it. Contacted the department of education and was told that they have to follow the rules. No transcript from one of the schools = automatic rejection of the application.
Maybe some of you were in the same situation? Please help. Thank you.
