Hello. I’m preparing to take CPA exam abroad and have a question about duplicate courses regarding evaluation.

I took ‘FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING’ and ‘Managerial Accounting’ while I was undergraduate.

And after then took ‘Cost Managerial Accounting I’ at private institution which was valid for evaluation, and currently am planning to take ‘Intermediate Accouting 1/2’ and ‘Cost Accounting’ at the graduate special courses online.

All the courses are ok for evaluation as lots of ppl got successfully evaluated with the courses here.

But I’m worried if

‘Financial Accounting’ – ‘Intermediate Accounting’

‘Managerial Accounting’ – ‘Cost Managerial Accounting’ – ‘Cost Accounting’

would be duplicate..

Will they be duplicate or not? Please share your experience with these course.

A friend of mine had the same concern, and she got evaluated without being counted as duplicate.
I don't think you have to worry.

@ninsa – no problem! my friend had concern over cost accounting and cost managerial accounting / financial accounting and intermediate accounting. She was approved for all 4 courses separately. She attended two different institutions.

Also, if courses are taken under the same institution, courses under same title will count separately as long as they have different course number. For example Accounting1A-Accounting principles and Accounting1B-Accounting principles will count was two different courses if taken under the same institution.

Even though the states are different, won't there be any exceptions about evaluating these courses, huh?
