Hi team,
Hope to have some valuable suggestions from you guys.
I have recently received a letter from Colorado State board stating that my application for CPA license has been denied due to the fact that my country CPA certification was not recognized by the Board as earning me enough hours to get me past over 120 hours in order to become a CPA.
Interesting point to note here is that the same board has accepted my foreign credential evaluation which stated that my education earned me 121 credit hours and I was deemed eligible to take the papers. After clearing the papers and having my 3 years experience verified by a practicing CPA, I am now being informed that the board does not recognize my country’s CA as earning any credit hours for me.
What do you think would be the best way to proceed in this situation as I am short of time since the Board is increasing their education requirements to 150 hours from July 1 and they have unnecessarily being delaying my application for the last 3 months only to inform me in the end of the denial of my request.
Hope to have some valuable responses from this forum to determine the appropriate course of future action.
Thanks
