Can you combine public and industry to satisfy the requirement? For example, lets say someone worked 6 months in public, and a year and a half in industry. I was just curious. Thanks!

That is a state specific question. In Massachusetts there is no way, ALL of the experience has to be in public. In other states, as long as a licensed CPA will sign off on your industry experience, it could work. Your best bet is to contact your state board.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

In Florida you just have to work under a CPA for a year.
