Quick question for you all.

I recently graduated in September with a BBA in Economics. I am planning to take the CPA but need more credits to sit for the exam in NY State.

My economics course work included financial and managerial accounting, plus I took two business law classes, so I need audit and tax to sit for the exam. I am planning to take classes at University of North Alabama Professional Accounting Prep Program (online).

I just wanted to clarify: for New York state, the Accounting ethics course and the Financial Statement Analysis courses have to be approved by NY State Board, so does that mean I cannot take these courses in a University that is outside New York State?
