Hello all,
I have 2 questions which I need some further guidance on.
My residency is in SC. I work in DC with 1 year of work experience in compliance for the financial services area of my company. I am planning on leaving my job in March to start studying for the CPA exam so I am moving back home to SC. I also want to work in corporate finance preferably in NC. I just want to know what state would be the wisest decision for me to apply in just so I don’t expect any “surprises” if I hopefully pass the exam and try to obtain my license?
Also, would corporate finance work (financial analyst role) count as work experience? I don’t plan on working in public or private accounting. I want the CPA to be a credential enhancer for me. And I know it works well in the corporate finance area. I know I need 1 year direct supervision under a CPA?
Thanks
