Which classes count

I’m having a little trouble figuring out which of my classes would count toward the 27 accounting (21 upper division) hours in Colorado. Do normal Corporate financial reporting 1 and 2 count as upper level accounting courses? So far I have:

Accounting and Financial Analysis BCOR 2000 (introductory level)

Corporate Financial Reporting 1/2 ACCT 3220/3230

    Cost Management ACCT 3320

    Financial Statement Analysis ACCT 4250

Income Taxation of Individuals ACCT 4440 (This was more of a personal taxes class but would it make the cut?)

Senior Seminar in Accounting ACCT 4850

    Thank you for the help.

Upper Level means junior and senior level classes so for you I think it would be 3xxx and 4xxx classes.

Hopefully your state is more lenient. Mine would not accept any finance classes. I had Accounting and Financial Analysis,

Corporate Financial Reporting, and Financial Statement Analysis classes all denied as accounting credits. Not trying to scare you, but you might want to open communication with your state.

Studying with Wiley Review, Wiley Test Bank, Ninja Audio.
    Retakes with Ninja MCQ only...awesome!
    Far - 1/28 72, 7/22 79
    Aud - 2/28 70, 8/14 83
    Bec - 4/10 80
    Reg - 5/30 64, 7/2 82

What state are you in koz124? I ask because I graduated with a bachelors degree in business administration and took two basic accounting classes. Now that I am older and wiser, and almost done with a Ms Acc I am wondering if I will have to take certificate type classes to fulfill the requirement in Utah. I would also be willing to take the test in AZ, CO, WY, NV, NM….

WI. I would think that a Master's in Accounting would cover the classes necessary. I had obtained my master's choosing all accounting electives, and thinking I had more in undergrad, but ended up having to argue most of them.

@Buzz I agree with CPAMommyof3's definition of upper-division courses. Regarding your courses specifically, here is what the NASBA website says for Colorado:

At least 27 semester (40 quarter) hours in accounting subjects, of which at least three semester (four quarter) hours must be in auditing. The hours in auditing must address U.S. GAAS. To receive credit for accounting-related coursework, the transcripts must indicate an accounting program code, or you must furnish other information to demonstrate an accounting-related course. At least 21 semester (32 quarter) hours must be in upper-division accounting courses such as:

    Accounting Ethics,

    Accounting Information Systems,

    Accounting Research and Analysis,

    Accounting Theory,

Financial Accounting and Reporting of Business Organizations,

Financial Accounting and Reporting for Government and Not-for-Profit Entities,

    Financial Statement Analysis,

    Fraud Examination,

    Internal Controls and Risk Assessment,

    Managerial or Cost Accounting,

    Taxation,

    Tax Research and Analysis,

Other areas as approved by the Board.

My understanding of the requirements is that all of your classes except the first one would count as upper-division courses for the 21 hour requirement. The first course could most likely be defended as an accounting-related course as part of the 27 hour requirement.
