Assuming I pass the ethics test and send in my packet today, how long will it take to get my CPA approved? Understand that I’m not asking about when they mail me a paper confirmation/certificate. I’m asking about when my name goes up in their online database.

Mine only took a week 🙂 and then my actual certificate came about a week later.

I vaguely remember there was a guy who posted about getting certified in Washington State. I'm pretty sure he said that he hand delivered his paperwork to the state board and his license # was waiting for him in his email when he got back to work.

BTW, they are very nice… the people in the state board office. You can call them and ask. (It'll be the first of many calls you make over the years.)
