Hi all, I am looking for some assistance on my transcripts being evaluated prior to submitting cpa license application. (NYS)

I noticed on NASBA website there is a link for advisory service ($100) prior to submitting application for license. Unfortunately I don’t believe this applies to NYS. (I emailed NASBA to confirm this).

My situation is currently I have 143 credit hours, seven short of the required 150 credits. I know for a fact I need at least 6 more accounting credits to meet the accounting credit requirement of 33 act. credits. Which I believe I can satisfy by taking fraud and Govt./ NFP through LSU Online courses. Then I will just take one other general course to finish up.

My questions are

1. Is there an education transcript advisory service for a NYS candidate?
2. Has anyone had any problems with NYS accepting LSU online accounting courses?

No experience in NY, but I took ALL of my accounting courses through LSU and had no problem with acceptance in my state. I know NY does not accept UNA PAPP courses for the accounting requirement, but I believe that still accept courses from other accredited universities for credit.

Though I have no experience in NY, I can also confirm that I had no issues with my state board with the LSU course I took.
