I just received notice that I have completed all sections and will be getting a packet to start the process of getting licensed. I was wondering if anyone could help me understand the next steps of licensing for Texas and how long it takes once completing all the exams.

They will mail you the packet, you take the enclosed ethics exam, which are about 25 questions, send that in along with the check or money order and in about 2-3 weeks they will mail in your certificate, if you passed the ethics exams, if not they will ask you to retake it. I think , you have to score 80%, but it is straight forward.

Actually I just went through certification this Feb-April and now you have to fill out all the paperwork first and send in the fee. Only after all the paperwork is approved THEN they email you the ethics test. After you pass that the next monday they put you into the system and you can pay your license fee the next day. Took from the time recieved my score early feb til almost mid April to be certified. Of course i had to wait for my supervisor to fill out the work experience form.

Thanks for the info! Can I have my supervisor fill out the experience form from the TSPBA website now before getting the package from them? I would like to get the experience form filled out as soon as possible so I can have a quick turnaround on sending back the documentation.
