Hi guys! Long time, no post. Hope everyone is well. I have a question about Texas reciprocity. I will be getting my license shortly from VA, but I currently work in TX and will be staying here. I noticed on the application for reciprocity that 30 hours of accounting are required for the license. In VA, it’s only 24, if I recall. I don’t know how many hours I have, but I am not sure it’s 30! I thought reciprocity meant if you hold the license in one state, it’s valid in another (or you can acquire a valid license from that state). I didn’t know I may need to complete more requirements. Has anyone been licensed in TX this way, having completed the requirements in another state? Just curious if I need to start signing up for classes again. I have the 150 hours but I got it by switching majors 50 times and not through a MAcc. Thanks for the help!
