Texas Code of Conduct Exam Update

I just wanted to share that the Texas Code of Conduct exam had a few changes for 2014:

    – It is now 30 questions instead of 25

    – 5 of the 30 questions are “pre-test” questions that do not affect your score (these are not labelled as such)

    – A comment sheet is provided to give feedback on the questions.

    – This time they said I could email the exam back; not sure if that has always been an option.

I am glad they are including the comment sheet since I have noticed little things like mis-typed rule citations (obviously wrong rules or rules that don’t exist) in the questions that bug me. I think I figured out what they were trying to ask so am hoping this time I pass. I have taken it twice already and each time missed by 1 question (you can only miss 3 questions). As some have mentioned before, some of questions seem to have more than one correct answer, so it is not as straightforward as it could be.

My biggest comment would be give me a freaking PDF of the rules instead of the horrible copy of a copy of a copy of a copy……they sent me. It looked like it was memeographed from the 70's. Of course, most on here have no idea what a memeograph is. Even the spell check doesn't.

    Reg - Passed 82 Nov 2012 - Becker
    Aud - Passed 86 May 2013 - Becker
    BEC - Passed 88 Aug 2013 - Becker
    FAR - Passed 88 Nov 2013 - Becker

I forgot to mention, but the emailed exam had a 48 hour time limit – not sure if that is something new or just for repeat offenders like me 🙂
