So do you get 2 certificates?

    One from your state board and one from the AICPA? I applied to the Louisiana state board already and received my license number, what do I need to in order to get the AICPA certificate? I thought you just needed to apply with your state board..

    Your state board is the issuing agency. The AICPA, from what I understand, does not give you a certificate.

    If you are a member of the AICPA, they give you a big pretty membership certificate. Being a CPA does not automatically make you a member of the AICPA. You have to pay a fee in order to be a member.
