I am going to be going for pathway 2 for CA which will be required in this state after 2014. I could graduate with my bachelors degree in Spring 2013 but I’ll only have 124 units(hours). Would I be able to sit for the exam right after I graduate, while taking classes to reach my 150 unit(hours) requirement, or do I have to have 150 units(hours) to actually sit for the exam?

Call the CA Board of Accountancy, seriously. When I was first applying I had a few questions so I called the number on the website. It rang a few times before someone picked up and they extremely helpful and nice.

You may sit for the exam. I live in CA and just graduated last fall with around 125 units. I was able to take the exam.

All you need is your bachelors to sit for the exam after graduation.
