I had a promotion riding on getting my license so I did ethics exam, experience, and transcripts pretty early.
I took my first exam in August, second exam in November, then did the ethics exam and submitted my transcripts in December. Took 2 exams in January. I had been working well over 2 years so I requested my firm submit the experience verification in March. Took my last exam in April and submitted my application in May once I received my final score.
They lost my transcripts and I only found out because I kept asking them why my license had not been processed yet. Resent the transcripts in late May/early June. Then found out NASBA only submits completed exams to CT BOA once a quarter so I had to wait until July 1 for CT BOA to be notified I had passed the exam. My license was approved July 1, the same day they received my scores.
I also only have public experience which matters in CT. If you have only public experience, you're application seems to be approved much quicker. If you have other than public (i.e. industry or governmental) experience, your application has to be decided upon at a board meeting. They are generally held monthly.
Once you go through all this, let me know when you get your certificate. I received my and it was not printed properly. The top half of the text was not centered on the paper. And I'm not talking very slightly off, but noticeably off. I was trying to see if anyone else had the same problem. I'm trying to get a new certificate, but it's not going well so far.
Let me know if you have any other questions on the CT process. I literally just went through it so I'm happy to help. I'll try to remember to check back in on this thread every so often.
