RANT: ILBOA needs to get their a** in gear! - Page 5

    For those of us who are unfortunate enough to have to deal with the Illinois Board of Examiners over the last week the online system that we use to check our scores, apply to take the exam, apply for retakes, etc. has been down!

    Talk about bad timing on behalf of the state. This is utterly ridiculous and I’m not going to sit here and have them give me the ole “it should be fixed by the end of today” bull. That is the literal answer I’ve gotten from them.

    So, to put some pressure on them, I encourage all IL candidates and candidates to be (or if you’re not in IL but feel like calling them anyway), to call ILBOA and ask them when the site will be fixed, why it’s broken, how long they expect for it to be down, and if they understand the pressure/frustration/importance of the website being up.

    Someone should call NASBA. ILBOA probably isn't telling the truth about not having the scores yet.

    I would think that it would be appropriate for NASBA to extend the exam expiration for an additional window for any candidate that is affected by this.

    I just spoke with someone from NASBA, she said Illinois received scores early this AM, but they need to be ILBOA approved before they will post them for us to see. At the earliest we should receive our scores tomorrow, or when the website is back up. UGH…this sucks!
