For those of us who are unfortunate enough to have to deal with the Illinois Board of Examiners over the last week the online system that we use to check our scores, apply to take the exam, apply for retakes, etc. has been down!

Talk about bad timing on behalf of the state. This is utterly ridiculous and I’m not going to sit here and have them give me the ole “it should be fixed by the end of today” bull. That is the literal answer I’ve gotten from them.

So, to put some pressure on them, I encourage all IL candidates and candidates to be (or if you’re not in IL but feel like calling them anyway), to call ILBOA and ask them when the site will be fixed, why it’s broken, how long they expect for it to be down, and if they understand the pressure/frustration/importance of the website being up.

I just called. Got a very nice gentleman on the phone. He said he does not know when the online system will be back up. If it isn't up by Friday, when the scores will be released, he said there is a form on the ILBOA website you can fill out and send to the helpdesk. That being said he looked me up in their system anyway and said they didn't even have a score yet for my REG exam. So I don't think they have scores in Illinois yet. I think we just have to wait it out. Hopefully it is back up by Friday. If not I will be calling again! Sorry for the bad news everyone! I am just as anxious!

If NASBA sent the scores, they have to have at least some scores at this point. So either 1) your score hasn't been realeased 2) IL system that receives the scores is also down or 3) the guy just lied.

@jessica8926, I agree with aehle2's comment that he probably lied to you. If you talked to Mr. Monotone then, I think it's safe to assume that.

@jessica8926, I agree with aehle2's comment that he probably lied to you. If you talked to Mr. Monotone then, I think it's safe to assume that.

One thing that concerns me: “The Board does not fax any scores until the original score notice has been mailed via USPS, which is the official delivery method for score notification”. That makes it sound like it'll be awhile as my mailed score is always WAY down the road from seeing my score online. Or are they making an exception to that statement because of this situation? I'm not shaving until I receive my score.

I just called and the guy who answered said they are trying to get the online system fixed by the end of the day. But that's basically the same response I got on Monday so I wouldn't make much of it.
