For those of us who are unfortunate enough to have to deal with the Illinois Board of Examiners over the last week the online system that we use to check our scores, apply to take the exam, apply for retakes, etc. has been down!

Talk about bad timing on behalf of the state. This is utterly ridiculous and I’m not going to sit here and have them give me the ole “it should be fixed by the end of today” bull. That is the literal answer I’ve gotten from them.

So, to put some pressure on them, I encourage all IL candidates and candidates to be (or if you’re not in IL but feel like calling them anyway), to call ILBOA and ask them when the site will be fixed, why it’s broken, how long they expect for it to be down, and if they understand the pressure/frustration/importance of the website being up.

Well, bummer…if you reapply to take the exam right after receiving your score it says waiting for score in their system. So my grade is still FAIL. Oh well, I accepted it, time to get back at it!

AUD - Passed - 82 (10/1/13), Expires 4/1/2015 (57,62,64)
BEC - Passed - 77 (7/14/14) (53,67,70,74) Half way to CPA!!!!
REG - Passed - 81 (8/23/14) (68) 3 down 1 to go!!

@kplummer517-I finally got the same answer after several phone calls. Still really frustrating…I don't see why they wouldn't be able to view the complete history so I could have had an answer a long time ago. Makes no sense. But you're right, time to move on!

@Baxter I did check my email and I knew I had a good reason to be afraid. Got a 74 on REG was really upset so I closed everything down for the day and ended up sleeping until 2pm that day. Wish I had better news to report, but great job to everyone else who passed! I will be making a come back in 2014! 🙂

@Baxter I did check my email and I knew I had a good reason to be afraid. Got a 74 on REG was really upset so I closed everything down for the day and ended up sleeping until 2pm that day. Wish I had better news to report, but great job to everyone else who passed! I will be making a come back in 2014! 🙂

Also, when I saw your post yesterday morning saying you got an email, I quickly logged into my email and sure enough I received an email from IL Board too. I opened it and it said Happy Holidays from ILBOE! But no attachment. So I emailed back saying Happy Holidays to you too…Umm you forgot to attachment my screenshot? Got another email back with an attachment. Opened it and it had my Ethics score on it. lol I was like what the heck.

@Jessica. so sorry to hear that! I opened my email that day and my heart dropped when i saw a 68 for my REG score. But 74 is more heart breaking :(.

@T3N6 thanks its a speed bump thats for sure! I start work in January so I won't have much time to study thanks to busy season. I was hoping to get a few sections done before I started working, but I guess that just wasn't how it was meant to be! Looks like you are an official CPA now, congrats!! Cannot wait to have that feeling lol.

@lalap I am going to try! It was very heartbreaking as I thought REG was the one I would finally pass after a fail with AUD. Studying for FAR right now though and it isn't looking good haha might be another tough year of failing scores for me :(, but I am keeping my head up that I can at least pass REG because I was so close!
